Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kile
Steps to reproduce: 1. Start kile 1.9.3-1ubuntu1 in feisty 2. Open new document 3. Type any non-ASCII character, like ä ö ü 4. Kile displays À ö ÃŒ Seems like kile interprets the utf8 characters from the keyboard as iso8859-15 characters. I switched to UTF8 everywhere. If I open a document with existing umlaut characters, they get displayed correctly. Maybe kile or the kde-io library is compiled without UTF8 support? ** Affects: kile (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- kile doesn't accept UTF8 charakters https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/141476 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
