Trying to remove the package results in a pink text box appearing on screen asking me to confirm the root password for the mysql install?
I tried running 'sudo apt-get update' which tried again to install the package again failed. A second invocation of the command resulted in the same asking for confirmation of the root password for mysql - but it still failed to install. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1453435 Title: package mysql-common 5.6.24-0ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-removal script returned error exit status 2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-5.6/+bug/1453435/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
