After this error the updater hung and I logged out & back in and was able to use some of the system: could not mount drives from Natilus, for example. When I ran Updater it started configuring stuff as if the install was continuing. After I rebooted basically the same thing: I could log in and access my partitions but all was not well, so I fresh- installed from USB.
