Hello Christian, I did it...but nothing. The problem is same. (Uninstall and reinstall ubuntu restricted extras 63)
Can I send any logfile or other, that could help to you solve this problem? I installed the Xine player, and it works. Hmm...Weird... But...I like...love VLC...It's my favourite! Oh, just a moment...I forget to tell you...that VLC works under X.org Nouveau Display Driver! When I changed nvidia 340.76 (closed, tested), VLC stopped work. Maybe the VLC and nvidia drv. don't like each other. :) But under, with 14.04LTS+nvidia 331 combo VLC works perfectly.
