I think I'm having the same problem here...
Only, I have a working internet connection (I can surf the web anyway).
When the Cover Art plugin is enabled (as it was by default on a recent Feisty 
system), Rhythmbox crashes with a "Segmentation fault (core dumped)" error 
message.
I see the "cover art loading" icon, as in the screenshot in a previous comment 
by Dmitriy.
Also on the 3 min 9 sec (magic moment) timepoint Rhythmbox crashes.
As this was in my first case just after changing from one song to another, I 
filed a bug report [Bug 141216] <a

song</a>.

One remark still about my internet connection : I'm behind a corporate
proxy, maybe that's the problem... I will see if the problem persists at
home on my own internet connection.
