** Description changed: My system gets corrupt data from ethernet under Kubuntu Feisty. It seems that the problem occurs (at least) when swap partition is in use. It's easy to reproduce using the live CD, I just download pictures to Konqueror tabs until RAM is full and then I start getting corrupt pictures and web pages. I first noticed this when apt-get update and installing software started to fail frequently. I have an ADSL modem connected to eth0. Neither the ADSL modem (I tried two of them) or ifconfig reports any errors. Finally I had to go back to using Edgy, which works fine. Memtest hasn't reported any errors (12 passes) My motherboard is Asus P5PL2-E, 1G RAM. Hard drive is connected to PATA. Update: - After the motherboard, CPU, harddisk and PSU have been replaced, the problem still exists, even though not as frequently as before. I don't see usage of swap as the problem. I'm using the system installed into HD. Memtest has been succesful (17 passes). + After the motherboard, CPU, harddisk and PSU have been replaced, the problem still exists, even though not as frequently as before. Boot splash progress bar works fine (probably was due to faulty cpu, the previous setup had also problems installing Feisty). Current setup is: CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 MB: Asus P5LD2 SE GPU: Nvidia GeForce 7600 GT HD: S-ATA MEM: 1G
