Public bug reported:
the PC has one disk. 3 partitions are used for Windows7 behind those there is 40GB unpartitioned space. the installer does not offer to resize one of the NTFS partitions or offers to install into th unpartitioned area. the only coices are: delete all partitions or manual choice. I did the manual choice, installed into sda4. It installs fine but without a grub menu - no way to start windows. after installation I had to do: grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg grub-install (i will try to add the log later) ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1449813 Title: installer does not use empty space on sda To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1449813/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
