Point 6: rollback journal is in the same directory for all the databases in HOME/.cache/tracker
the journal in tmp is for the cache database which is wiped when tracker starts (its for storing session properties only like what directories are being watched) The cache db is stored in /tmp too as it does not store any permanent data. we have reoptimised and found a few cases where transactions were not being used for the cache db - this has been rectified. All the other databases now commit at every 100 files indexed or 500 emails indexed intervals (thats meta data and contents).
