Hi, I have this same problem, can anyone help please?
Im running an ATI Radeon Cedar HD5450 graphics card and using the open source driver, I've tried a fresh install of Unity. The freeze mainly happens when I'm using Video, so I figured it would probably be something to do with the Graphics card.
