@Michael Vogt your final patch seems to solve the problem on my computer. There are only the following problems:
1) If something (e.g. a window or a menu) overlaps the video it gets blue borders (instead of Compiz's shadow) but at least the video works well. I think it's acceptable as a result. 2) if I use Totem (totem-xine) the colours of the videoclip are not right (no matter which output I choose, e.g. xv, xshm) as described in comment 78. This happens every time, no matter if the desktop effects are enabled or disabled. The videoclip works well in Kaffeine, Mplayer and Vlc though. I hope problem 2 can be solved. P.S. my card is detected as an Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03) (prog-if 00 [VGA]) and I'm using the "intel" modesettings driver (instead of "i810") on Gutsy -- totem crashes with 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)' when using compiz and xserver-xorg-video-intel driver https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/111257 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
