openoffice.org-base is also not installed in Gutsy, which causes it to crash on a lot of documents. A simple 'sudo aptitude install openoffice .org-base' will resolve this. However, I think this bug should go upstream because we need another error message. It has taken me a long time to realise why I couldn't open my .odt files. Now, OO will suggest to recover the document, which has nothing to do with the problem. We should just get a simple message announcing openoffice.org-base is needed in order to open the file.
