I'd like to append this with a big 'Me Too!'; I have a freshly installed Ubuntu Studio 14.04 OS, added restricted and a number of common apps and repositories listed on most "what to do after you install..." list, like I always have, but the first time I set about actually creating a DVD on _this_ particular system I found the error when either burning 'just generate...' or 'create ISO'.
Searches led me to this bug report, I've used Jesse's work-around and as I type this, I am also generating an ISO in the background. Please let me know how i might contribute any info req'd to help pin down the cause and perhaps a solution.
