A reboot certainly isn't necessary; at most 'sudo modprobe -r bcm43xx;
sudo modprobe bcm43xx' to unload and reload the driver. Unfortunately we
cannot fix this firmware situation properly because we are not legally
entitled to distribute the firmware. We have attempted to engage
Broadcom in discussion of this and (I'm told) been politely but firmly
refused.
