This bug is still present in grub2 2.02~beta2-21 in vivid.  The output
is no longer the same - the "Error: couldn't send network packet"
message is no longer shown - but the boot eventually drops to a grub
shell and the environment shows the same kind of corruption as before,
with a broken IPv4 address of "0.5.0.24" everywhere.
