Public bug reported: I use backbox-4.1-amd64.iso (an Ubuntu-based Linux distribution). I created a live usb. It is impossible to boot from that but after I made first choise "Install BackBox Linux" and the error notification appears as follows:
(initramfs) stdin: Not a typewriter mount: mounting dev/loop0 on //filesystem.squashfs failed: Invalid argument Can not mount /dev/loop0 (/cdrom/casper/filesystem.squashfs) on //filesystem.squashfs The ISO image is ok (I cheked the md5 sum and sha256 sum). I tried to create my live usb with dd, UNetbootin and also usb-creator-gtk. I tried "install backbox", "Try BackBox without installing", and "check CD for defect". ** Affects: casper (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1431841 Title: Unable to mount /dev/loop0 during install with a memory stick To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/casper/+bug/1431841/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
