Hey all. I strongly advice (as an upstream gvfs maintainer) to apply mentioned patch from upstream Bug 637095 to fix problems with metadata: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=637095
There is several comments about several issues in this bug report, but the last comments are about this issue, which was fixed recently.
