I have some additional info for this bug. Totem has a feature to capture a screenshot from the current played file, when I use it, the screenshot is not just black as I expected it to be, the screenshot shows the part of the movie correctly.
That seems especially weird to me because totem stays black while the movie is played and there is no way to get a picture even not for a short moment by for example moving the window or something like that. I was used to this problem in feisty while running with desktop effects and using totem with gstreamer backend.
