Myself and ShadowDave came across this error today when we wiped clean my MacBook Pro and installed the 14.04 LTS. Everything went smoothly until trying to install the additional drivers needed for my internal wifi. The solution I found for mine was on this page: (http://askubuntu.com/questions/453252/setup-problems-ubuntu-14-04-wifi- on-macbookpro-13-3-w-retina-dual-boot) and it was the solution posted by username (http://askubuntu.com/users/263895/back-slash) about halfway down the page. I followed the instructions to a "tee", and so far my wifi is up and running stable.
