Please suggest people use the web forums or mailing lists first, before
listing the #ubuntu irc channel.
#ubuntu is not a good place for beginners to go for help. Some "regulars" are
not friendly to "newbies"
there and even harrass other more experienced users trying to help them. This
is typical of irc and usenet,
and I understand it is not going to change.
Thus please list the web forums first, in particular the beginners' forum.
Harrassment on the #ubuntu
irc channel hurts ubuntu's appeal.
