Public bug reported: Using Ubuntu GNOME 14.04 on an ASUS Notebook with i5 processor and Nvidia GeForce 740M.
Package: nvidia-304 304.125-0ubuntu0.0.1 (amd64 binary) in ubuntu trusty What I expected: Getting into GDM for Login What happened instead: When booting my notebook everything goes fine until GDM is started. Ubuntu stops at the Plymouth-Screen. When changing to tty1 by Ctrl+Alt+F1 I can login, but when I type "startx" it crashes.
