I had the same problem with my desktop PC. Removing mouseemu fixed the problem in a matter of seconds. Thanks a lot for the tip BlueSky/andybotting!
The only wierd thing is that my PC ain't a laptop. Some hardware specs: Mobo: Asus P5B Deluxe Mouse: Microsoft Habu Keyboard: Logitech G15 Ubuntu distro: Feisty Fawn 7.04 (Nordic edition).
