Still happening today on updated 14.04... though symptoms may be slightly different: - no BUG in /var/log (maybe it got lost...) - switching to Nouveau no longer works around the problem - Intermittant -- I think I was able to use virtualbox for a few hours without this happening, but it's happend 2 out of 2 tries since then.
