Same here, on a fresh install of Ubuntu 14.10. Installing python-smbc and 
python3-smbc did not help.
A workaround is to get the exact share name from the printer server and enter 
it in the text field as "hostname/sharename" or "ip-address/sharename", and 
then press "Next". But the network really ought to be browseable for printers.
