Ok, done. So it is an upstream bug. What does this mean? What should I
do simply and concisely for my particular bug, step by step, by a means
simple linux users like me can comprehend and get done A.S.A.P?

How often are mainline repairs and patches incorporated into typical
upstream kernel updates? Is this a weekly, monthly, or yearly
rotation...etc?
