Those other workarounds are mentioning re-installing the driver. That may prevent the error but during the next kernel installation you will likely see the error again. Post #100 by dino99 is a modification that you make for future kernels so they do not get the error. The error message to me is bogus as the drivers do in fact install just fine AFAIK. That is about all I know; I'm not a developer, I'm a tester...
