Well, u do not have to give up compiz-fusion nor the intel driver because of 
this bug nor video accell.
A good workaround is to give up only xv: install gstreamer0.10-gl, run 
gstreamer-properties, and on video-output select custom and insert glimagesink.
Works fine for me :)
Anyone knows any drawbacks on that? This workaround is widely used with xgl (xv 
crashes xgl sometimes... and using the opengl driver for video playback revents 
that).
This is much faster than using only the x11 driver, uses less resources and do 
not crash totem, mplayer or any other player.
