Zoltan Palagyi, as it appears you did a new install of 14.04 versus an upgrade, it would be most helpful to test to this in a live environment of 12.04.0 (with kernel 3.2.x) via http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/releases/12.04.0/ . That will test a number of things at once: + Prior linux-firmware version. Please do post the firmware version in use via a terminal: cat /var/log/dmesg | grep "firmware version" + Prior linux kernel version (3.2.x). + Prior userspace versions (most likely won't matter but one ends up testing this by the nature of testing a prior release).
