I've checked at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/bcm43xx and installed b43 driver: sudo apt-get install firmware-b43-installer which up to now seems to work with my BCM4311. So I would recommend KDE driver manager NOT to recommend bcmwl but b43 for BCM4311 (Broadcom Corporation BCM4311 802.11b/g WLAN [14e4:4311]).
