Cristopher, 1) A version of the NVIDIA proprietary driver prior to 331.38?
I didn't run a version prior to 331.38. I'm running the 331.113 and the behavior is the same as 331.38. 2) A release of Ubuntu prior to 14.04? I didn't run other Ubuntu version in this laptop. I bought with Windows 8.1 but replace to an SSD HD with Ubuntu 14.04 already installed (I used this SSD in other laptop without dedicated GPU).
