As HP only releases their BIOS firmware update for my model in 64bits Windows-only exe, and after many attempts to do it without installing windows (WinPE live, for example) has failed I ended formatting everything, installing windows 8, updating the BIOS and then restoring Ubuntu.
My system is working now, fortunatelly without screen freezing.
