Public bug reported: Description: Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS Release: 14.04
After the last apt-get dist-upgrade I did on Friday 2014-12-12, I encountered a very strange issue. When I booted the system (or rebooted), the fonts in the login window (lightdm) and the fonts after I logged in to the KDE desktop were very small. However, no font settings had been changed. When I restarted the X server (ctrl+alt+backspace), then the fonts were all fine. When I rebooted the whole system, again the same problem until I restarted the X server. I noticed that during the last update, nvidia proprietary drivers got an update and when I went back to the version before the update (sudo apt- get install nvidia-331=331.38-0ubuntu7 nvidia-opencl- icd-331=331.38-0ubuntu7) the system worked/works again as expected. ** Affects: nvidia-graphics-drivers-331-updates (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1402315 Title: Nvidia driver 331.113-0ubuntu0.0.4 introduces strange fonts problem in Kubuntu (KDE) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-331-updates/+bug/1402315/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
