For infomation : I used Marco Trevisan's unity package since 2014-09-11 without getting this issue. This morning I installed unity (up to date) from Ubuntu repository and I just get this issue. Like David, the first times I get this bug, I noticed some issues with window animations before it happened (windows were moving very slowly).
