I also miss the feature to right click on folder to open as root... I used this a lot. And I've always used PCManFM with MATE deskop. I think it was very noticeable that you were in root mode because of the colorful warning message and the different color window... I don't know how you could make a mistake, unless you didn't know what working in root does... Please bring it back ASAP!!!!
