I've been inputting data in the Australian (and British) format dd/mm/yy (which I set as a custom option as it is not listed in the option). I've also found that the date format is very inconsistent. Eg I input 7/9/07 meaning Sept 7 2007 and it decides I mean July 9 2007. However, if I input 27/8/07 it understands that I mean August 28 2007. Very frustrating, so off to gnumeric I go as it understands date formats other than the American ones! I am running OpenOffice 2.2.0 under Ubuntu Feisty Fawn 7.04 (have not upgraded recently as the last time numerous packages were unstable...).
