This problem may be due to the fact that I tried to install the propietary driver meanwhile and failed to do so. I tried to roll back, but probably some files have been changed permeatly during the failed attempt to install the proprierary driver. I will do not try this again. Probably I mixed something up in my system, now I cannot even install the community driver update :-). I had hoped that it will, well it doesn't. I'm not a Linux expert and I cannot handle the problem by myself.
