In my setup there are 2 things that cause the unregister_netdevice
error: pccardctl eject and the module unload of all networking modules.
Unloading the rt2500pci driver leads to trouble. So I whitelisted the
rt2500pci, rt2x00pci and rt2x00lib modules. I further changed the
pccardctl eject/insert combo in the suspend.d/resume.d with pccardctl
suspend/resume. This leads to reliable suspend/resume for me, without
further killing of processes.

Networkmanager doesn't have a working net connection at resume however,
but just selecting my ap again in the applet will cause a good
reconnect. This is good enough for me (for now, it's 2.35 AM here...).
Maybe I'll look into the lost net connection after resume some more
later.
