New version of the driver came down this afternoon. I had to remove legacy kernal module again and reinstall headers, restricted manager, etc to even get it to run. Instead of white screen I got a black screen with mouse pointer. But in safe Gnome mode, I did get a pop up telling me to disable XGL to create the following file:
~/.config/xserver-xgl/disable. Adding that file restored the desktop in normal mode with compiz running. -- nvidia-glx-new 100.14.11-prevents compiz from working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/136716 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
