After recovering from screen dimming, the brightness is set set maximum for my case. For this problem, I follow the instructions in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/Debugging/Backlight. After adding "acpi_backlight=vendor" kernel parameter, the problem is fixed.
But during the boot of Ubuntu, I still get the following error message: thinkpad_acpi: Unsupported brightness interface, please contact ibm- acpi-d...@lists.sourceforge.net. I am using Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit with a Thinkpad T440S. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/896595 Title: Ubuntu does not remember LID brightness To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/896595/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
