Public bug reported:

The summary explains it all. I am currently using linux Ultimate Edition
3.8 on a really old laptop. It has an AMD Mobile Athlon 64 with ATi
Mobility Radeon 9600 Turbo graphics and 512MB of RAM on a 60GB
mechanical hard drive (I don't remember the RPM speed). Hope that helps.

Title:
When I try to upgrade to a new ultimate edition version, the upgrader
says there are some errors (though they don't really apply to my
system) and then does not finish the upgrade, even with the command it
says to use to try to fix it.
