Public bug reported: I would like to sync https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/autodep8 into Utopic. The current autopkgtest 3.5.x contains some code to synthesize test control for Perl and Ruby packages, but this isn't very clean. This logic has now been moved out into autodep8, and latest autopkgtest (http://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/autopkgtest/autopkgtest.git/commit/?id=8f16b353d5a3) now uses autodep8.
Having autodep8 available in the archive allows developers to run Perl/Ruby package autopkgtest on utopic with future autopkgtest versions. It's a very small arch: all package without much dependencies. I'm working on it in Debian together with Antonio Terceiro. Note that we don't run these "automatic" perl/ruby tests in Ubuntu's CI at the moment. So if this is rejected there will no be regression in Britney's test coverage; this is just for the benefit of running tests locally. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1380954 Title: FFE: Sync autodep8 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1380954/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
