Binary package hint: compiz
With metacity I had 6 separate workspace.
With compiz the workspaces are not so separate anymore: If a window is
partially offscreen, the offscreen part is visible on the adjacent
workspace. That's annoying, parts of windows I've moved offscreen now
tend to obscure content on other workspaces.
Tested by switching from metacity to compiz
(1:0.5.2+git20070829-0ubuntu1) after doing 'gconftool --recursive-unset
/apps/compiz'.
