I also now after having for the first time started a session in Gnome can't get into 14.04 at all. I imagine I'd have to re-install grub or otherwise fight with it. I'm looking into that disk from 12.04, but can't locate the log file. Where is it. That path is not clear to me. I don't know what folder has all the .program files. Sorry.
The comment was chatty. I'm such a newbee, I thought your 'email' to me was an email and not something that would appear on the bug report. Sorry. Forget the comment. It was a joke. Yes, WHEN I can get into 14.04 and only have folders on the desktop, I can click on them and view the contents....but I can launch no program that I want to nor open a terminal. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1380095 Title: Gnome Fallback[s] don't work in 14.04.
