I am using Ubuntu Gnome 14.04. This was affecting me too.
I could add the Printer to my list of printers via system-config-printer and cups' interface at port 631, but I got the same error. Too solve the issue, I logged into my router and disabled "Wireless AP Isolation", I still got an error message, and then shortly thereafter the page printed... Interesting, maybe latency or something. What is surprising is that I could even add the printer to my list of printers with "Wireless AP Isolation" enabled.
