Otherwise I want suggest the people to use Dolphin. Dolphin is the new easy file manager for KDE 4.0 - but it is also available right now. Dolphin recognized the needing of a easy way to switch view modes and made it obvious to do this. For easy fast file operations its great - Konqueror is still there for some stuff who needs a more feature-rich app.
