Public bug reported:

I have an Intel D201GLY motherboard with on-board sound running Ubuntu
7.04 Feisty. The sound components are identified as SI7012 with an
Analog Devices AD1888 chip. The sound components appear to recognized
by the OS, and it acts like all is well, but no sound ever comes out the
speakers no matter with "speaker-test", "xmms", "rhythmbox", or
whatever.

I have run every combination of "alsamixer" settings, done everything
outlined on: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=205449 and tried
all of the "options" that I could find for the snd-intel8x0 driver in
/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base. I have tried multiple speakers, headphones,
etc., and I am very sure that the sound is not muted or volume turned
down in alsamixer and also the GUI Volume Control. The output from the
various commands follows:
