Public bug reported:

new kernel install blows nvidia-graphics-drivers-331
This is a duplicate, easier to document this way. After two restart attempts
that resulted in error messages leading to a black screen with a blinking
cursor I did a cold boot and the sytem recovered to load the nvidia driver.
Upon that boot, system error was detected again and led to this error report.
This is the.. fourth kernel update that has had these anomalies. Luckily it's
not getting worse. It appears to be very repeatable.
