You have been subscribed to a public bug: I just installed Linux Mint 17 with Clementine 1.2. When entering a search term to filter my library nothing happens. In previous versions the list would filter down to meet the search terms. Then Clementine freezes and it must be forced to quit. If I click the Search button on the left the search works as expected, then if I come back to the library search still does not work but Clementine does not freeze.
Clearly this is a bug. Is this the best place to report it? Is there anything that will fix this issue? I use Search a lot. I submitted Search freezes Clementine 1.2 #4490 at the Clementine site but they sent me here. "This sounds like the SQLite full text search library issue. Your build is probably not correctly done. If your build uses the system SQLite library (which is built incorrectly) that could be an issue. Clementine unfortunately has issues where search blocks the GUI. This is regardless of the SQLite issue. It is something to fix but usually results come in so quickly that no one is really bothered. And many may not realise the rest of the GUI is frozen because they are focused on the search. You can use a Clementine binary build if you want. But if you want it from your package manager, you need to file a bug with that project. https://bugs.launchpad.net/linuxmint Also note that fault is not necessarily Clementine's, because what you are talking about sounds like the old bug caused by a bad combination of QtSql or SQLite3 incorrectly built for full-text search." ** Affects: clementine (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Clementine Search Fails https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1360531 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
