Public bug reported: While installing ubuntu on a brand new laptop (without pre-installed operating system), the process crashes with a fatal error concerning the grub-installer. The DVD with 14.04.1 LTS amd64 runs in >Try Ubuntu< demo mode without problems. Itried both ways to install the szstem> directly from the boot menu and from inside the demo mode.
