I don't think the lockscreen it's the same scenario as bash or vim, in
general UI apps react to Ctrl+W by closing themselves, while gtk/qt text
entries by default do nothing on ^U/^W, thus I don't think it's the case
to add support for this.

If you need to quickly delete the content of the input field, you can
instead use Ctrl+Backspace (or slower Ctrl+A + anything you want) which
is more more standard in text entries than the shortcuts you suggested.
