I solved wifi issue upgrading kernel to the generic version of gutsy but I'm loosing a lot of packets in any conection. My laptop is an Acer Travelmate 6291 It has an Intel HDA sound card 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 02) I tryied to change alsamixer volumes but it didn't worked they were all high. After it I tryied to update alsa using the instructions that i found in their web page, concretely at: http://bugtrack.alsa- project.org/main/index.php/Matrix:Module-hda-intel As result of this I couldn't execute alsamixer at all, I receive the next error message alsamixer: function snd_mixer_load failed: Invalid argument ** Affects: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- I have no sound with a Travelmate 6291 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/136723 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
